Can Sheri make it with one pair of yoga pants and a clearance mat from Marshall’s?

I’m trying to make it through the 40-Day rejuvenation process staying true to the tagline of the blog, which is “Can Sheri make it with one pair of yoga pants and a clearance mat from Marshall’s?” Or something to that effect. Essentially, I’m trying to prove that even a regular gal can do this thing with little financial investment.
I’ve stuck to it, although I did purchase one of those super-absorbent sticky mats (for $50) after my Superman beach towel bunched up and nearly caused me to break my nose. I wash the Nike yoga pants every day, along with the sticky mat (a capful of bleach really helps things smell better), and life is good. The yoga uniform I wear is all black: Nike yoga pants, a basic black t-shirt, normal bra and my hair on top of my head. I think I look kind of nonchalant and cool, but Staci Lefleur wants to know why I wear a t-shirt with sleeves, “What are you, Mormon?” I laugh, but don’t tell her I’m too cheap to buy new workout stuff and just not comfortable in showing skin, no matter how hot it gets in class. But I can’t resist when I get a call from Ashley over at Lulemon on East Blvd. She says they have “yoga-inspired athletic wear” and tells me she reads the blog (which is more than I can say for my own mother). She also tells me that she’d like to show me the showroom ---next to Step--and give me a pair of pants. Look, I’m all about integrity of the blog and all, but holy crap: free pants!
I show up and Ashley gives me a tour and a whole yoga outfit: a pink top (which actually doesn’t make my chest look like that of an underdeveloped sixth grader) and new pants (that show off what I believe to be my new smokin’ yoga buttocks) and a band to hold my hair back (bonus). What a lift! Just when I couldn’t wait to get these 40 days over with, I have some clothes that actually make me look like I know what I’m doing (even if I still can’t do a full-wheel backbend properly). I’ve taken a couple of classes wearing my new clothes, and they rock my world. I know this sounds crazy and slightly cheesy, but the kindness of the gift makes me want to finish strong in the 40-Day Rejuvenation. Maybe even try the splits again? Hmmm…
